About this Case Study

Roller derby is an assertive team sport which is played on roller skates and requires large amounts of skill, agility and flexibility. This session delves into the world of roller derby and what's necessary for team success. We'll look at such areas as diversity, the importance of sticking to the rules and whether hybrid skates could ever work. We'll consider what lessons there are for the agile world and whether we seem to be learning them. Most importantly, you'll learn lots about roller derby and there'll be plenty of photos of the sport in action!

About the Speaker

Louise is a software manager in the finance industry. She has worked in the software world for over 25 years as developer, technical architect and manager. She has successfully introduced agile and lean to many companies and is a great believer in the benefits of self-organising teams.

Louise is as passionate about roller derby as she is about software quality. Her skate name is Ivana the Terror Bull, which explains her Twitter handle, and also her enjoyment of bad puns.
