Session duration:
10 minutes

About this Lightning Talk

At CDL, the UK’s leading supplier of insurance solutions, we’ve learnt that agility is a non-stable state of being - effort’s required just to stand still.

What if time ran backwards on an agile journey? Join us in our time machine as we let bureaucratic entropy free on our scaled agile framework.

About the Speaker

Michael is Head of Development at CDL, a trend-setting Stockport based IT company delivering solutions that help lead the success and growth of some of the UK's biggest insurance retailers.

Michael's agile journey started nearly 30 years ago when he first encountered agility in software engineering in the guise of Rapid Application Development (RAD) and its earlier incarnation JAD (Joint Application Development) at BT in the mid 90s.

A lean thinking agilist, he is passionate about finding better ways to develop software. Michael is a keen champion of lean, agile practices. As an evangelist of agility in software development, he has increasingly been involved from both a business and a personal level in developing agile enterprise thinking as a means to help businesses and individuals become the best they can be.
