About this Hands-On

Agile leaders expect agile teams to take the initiative. But what do these teams need of their leaders? Are their leaders comfortable in the new, more loosely defined world where informal communication channels are critical to success?

In 2014, Laurence met an actor and coach called Boo. In just one day, Boo changed the way Laurence approached every aspect of speaking. Using media training techniques enjoyed by international sports professionals, he even stopped him from saying “erm”!

Join this masterclass to try for yourself. Working in pairs, we'll explore techniques for improving our personal impact and find a few that best suit our own style to take away and try. Ideal for want-to-be conference speakers, IT heads, scrum masters, product owners or any agile leader.

About the Speaker

Laurence is an accredited APMG agile PM educator and leadership coach specialising in the offshore India model. He inspires teams and leaders to deliver more value, more often - using agile and lean in India and the UK. His career has taken him from Jaguar apprentice to agile programme manager at Callcredit Information Group, via City of London head of IT. He is now Leeds based, but travels globally.
