About this Keynote
Most companies want to become more innovative. Their challenge is that innovation cannot thrive in businesses with linear and rational forms of management. Innovation is a wicked problem; the wickedness isn’t just about difficulty. Innovation challenges are a totally different class of problem, often hard to define and with no single best solution. These characteristics defy all forms of rational management. This talk will describe the nature of innovation's wickedness and present the different ways to manage the innovation process.
About the Speaker
Tendayi Viki is an award winning author and innovator. He has worked with several large organisations including Pearson, Standard Bank, Unilever, Rabobank, American Express, The British Museum and The World Bank. Tendayi co-designed and helped implement Pearson's Product Lifecycle, which is a lean innovation framework that won Best Innovation Program 2015 at the Corporate Entrepreneur Awards in New York. He is the author of two books based on his research and consulting experience: The Corporate Startup and The Lean Product Lifecycle.
