About this Case Study

What would happen if every anti-pattern you could think of was applied to one team? How would they feel? How would they perform? In this case study, I describe what it was like working in the 'worst team in the world' and how a new scrum master worked with them to change that title.

This session will run 10 minutes into the lunch break.

About the Speaker

Ben is a development manager at Redgate Software (a mixture of an agile coach, people manager and development manager).

He has 10 years' experience of agile software development and 12 years' experience working with IT teams. He has been a tester, project manager, programme manager, head of infrastructure, head of software engineering and an agile coach. He has led a number of successful agile transformations.

Ben has seen the good, bad and downright ugly of agile adoption - and whilst now slightly more bruised by the whole experience, is happy to share his knowledge and experiences.

Ben is currently writing a book on his views about the direction of agile software development, with 'WTF Happened?' due for release in 2019. He also co-founded Cambridge Agile Exchange, a meetup group in Cambridgeshire for agile practitioners to hone their craft.
