About the session
Scran and Share at Agile Manchester hosted by Emily Webber and Sophie Weston
Scran and share is like a lunch and learn, but more northern.
It is a relaxed, low-fi session during the lunch break, where speakers will share work-related stories about culture, teams, tech, users, or just getting things done.
The Case For Kindness with Jenny Martin
“Once we get through this release…” Sound familiar? In tech, pressure is constant, but we treat it as temporary. This talk explores how this leads to cultural debt and why kindness, through clarity, consistency, and courage, is essential for high-performing, sustainable teams.
Clean Language: A Primer with Gemma Openshaw
Clean Language is a questioning approach developed by David Grove, designed to help people stay curious and explore their own thinking without other people jumping in with assumptions, interpretations or advice.
In this relaxed, interactive primer session, you won’t hear about Clean Language — you’ll get to experience what it feels like to be asked “clean” questions for yourself.
Expect a low-fi, introduction to questions with very little content of their own, designed to minimise influence and keep the conversation with the person doing the thinking. Useful for coaches, facilitators, leaders, agilists, and anyone who’s ever accidentally been “too helpful”.
