About the session

Bottlenecks are famous from slowing down the flow from ideation to product realisation. The case study intends to highlight the most significant bottlenecks found while working for one of the Real Estate dealers and create an awareness of how these can easily become flow stoppers and adversely affect product development.

The reasons for these bottlenecks were varied, ranging from misunderstanding scrum accountabilities and agility in general, sub-optimal nurturing and engagement of available talent, to holding back to old ways of working to non-adaption of team structures to fit the new ways of working.

Participant takeaways:

  • Always focus on the flow and then dig deeper
  • Keep an eye on the big picture, though not forgetting the minute details as well
  • Keep things as simple as possible
  • Be humane, not just human

Themes:

Scrum, Transformation, Leadership, Optimisation, Product development
