About the session

There are thousands of forms on GOV.UK. Some offer an excellent digital user experience but many document-based forms don't and may not fully accessible.

It takes time and expert skills to build a new digital service, and given the scale of the problem it's going to take too long at the current pace to digitise all existing forms. Some teams don't even have the skills, budget or tools to do so even if they wanted to.

Find out how with GOV.UK Forms the UK Government Digital Service is helping teams to rapidly create high-quality, accessible digital forms.

Participant takeaways:

  • Designing for everyone, applying product thinking to an internal platform
  • Re-using existing patterns and best practices
  • Navigating the scale and complexity of government
  • Understanding and addressing technical challenges

Themes:

Accessibility, Architecture, Digital Transformation, Design Systems, Product Development
