About the session

Theme: Product Management | AI

Like it or not, AI is here to stay. Novel products of the future are currently being built on Large Language Model (LLM) technologies, harnessing the power of textual recognition and generation to create human-like interactions and experiences.

But what does this mean for the Scrum Masters and Product Owners supporting the teams building LLM-powered products?

This session walks through lessons learnt over the past year from working first-hand within a team on a novel LLM-powered product.

These new technologies require us to expand both our understanding and our approach - including how we test products, how we approach stakeholder demos, and how using AI presents a different starting point.

Participant takeaways:

  • Basic awareness of what LLMs are, their strengths and limitations, and how products can be built on top of them
  • Practical techniques for supporting developers, Scrum Masters, Product Owners and stakeholders working on LLM-powered products
  • Understanding of how LLM products present a different starting point
  • Awareness of nondeterminism, and the challenges this brings to testing, acceptance, and stakeholder demos
  • Tips for helping teams and individuals to get comfortable with the uncertainty that AI-powered products bring
