About the session

Our work environments are becoming more intricate, and the probability of something going amiss will only rise. However, the solution to this challenge remains the same: our teams and how we interact.

Jitesh has been helping teams enhance their products and services for five years. Often called to resolve testing issues, he discovered that the root cause was a lack of communication among team members. People were hesitant to share their thoughts, leading to problems that could have been easily resolved being left unaddressed.

This session will discuss why team members hesitate to speak up, how these problems compound due to the complexity of our work, and how current approaches to addressing them may be making things worse.

Participant takeaways:

  • Learn why psychological safety is crucial for high-performing teams
  • Understand the challenges of speaking up in group settings
  • Address common misunderstandings about psychological safety
  • What are the three essential mindsets for fostering psychological safety
